PRESENTATION

galerie Wanecq

Jean Wanecq founded his gallery at 12 rue des Saints-Pères in 1950. Joined by his wife Gertraud in 1977 they have since established a major presence in the minds of collectors, curators and designers as one of Paris’s sources for French quality Antique Furniture and Works of Art.

Their gallery is predominantly specialized in fine French furniture and decorative arts from the seventeenth to early nineteenth century.
Openings and social events have never been a priority for the gallery, they show exclusively in their premises favoring a more personal and exclusive form of client relationship, developing a fine understanding of individual artistic preferences.

Members of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires,

they have over many years been able to develop a relationship with their clients based on confidence, they have given help to form entire collections as well as advising on individual pieces, they are always delighted to share their knowledge and experience with their clients.

A changing selection of the gallery’s collection can be viewed on the following pages, and they encourage visitors to return and browse frequently as the site is updated on a regular basis.
